The two drawers are very roomy and provide storage for pads of paper, staplers, pens, pencils, and other office necessities. As with any desk, I recommend ordering a desk top clear vinyl protector. There are numerous options on Amazon. It will preserve and protect your desktop from scratches and spills. If care is taken, I'm sure this desk will last. I would purchase again.
